you said: "The point I’m getting at is that I’m reluctant to apply motives regarding morality to those who I feel disrespect the rights of creators by devaluing the worth of their product simply because it is digitized. I can disagree with them vehemently but it is not my place to pass judgment on them...."
Patrick, given the tone of the preceding comments it's evident that they have no hesitation passing judgment on you. I'll stand with Mr. Johnson and any other principled creator against this technologically enabled barbarism.

There's no difference between my constructive comment and yours.

You seem quite happy to generalise and stereotype groups of individuals, so why shouldn't I?

Thank you, Neal, for that constructive comment.

John, I honestly don't know if I have. Have you ever referred to one of my blog posts as "articulate and thought-provoking"? You have the right to think none of them are, but I suppose then I'd have the same right regarding other works.

Patrick, have you even once described an article you disagreed with as "articulate and thought-provoking" or similar? I've searched your site and I can't find any such. I am forced to conclude that "articulate" to you means something that echoes your party line.

So what you are making is the broad generalisation that people who "steal" (in your view) copyright, have no morals.

That's pretty rich coming from a group of corporate thugs and bullies.
